Pharmacy Council
The Pharmacy Council is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament, the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act (Act 857) to regulate the practice of Pharmacy in Ghana.
Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health is the government ministry of Ghana that is responsible for the health of Ghana. It is involved in providing public health services, managing Ghana's healthcare industry, and building Ghana's hospitals and medical education system.
Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana
PSGH is the umbrella professional association of all registeredPharmacists in Ghana. It is a non-governmental organisation with statutory positions on the Pharmacy Council and other organisations relating to pharmacy or medicines.
Food and Drugs Authority of Ghana
The FDA exist to ensure the safety, quality and efficacy of human and veterinary drugs, food, biological products, cosmetics, medical devices, household chemical substances and clinical trials, and the control of tobacco products through the enforcement of relevant standards to protect public health.
Medical and Dental Council of Ghana
The Medical and Dental Council is the statutory agency under the Ministry of Health established under Part II of the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013 (Act 857) responsible for the regulation of the training and practice of medicine and dentistry in Ghana.
Health Facilities Regulatory Authority
The Health Institutions and Facilities Act, 2011 (Act 829) established the Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA) in PART ONE of the Act. HeFRA was set up to license facilities for the provision of public and private health care services.
Nursing and Midwifery Council
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&MC) is a statutory body whose mandate is derived from part III of the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act 2013 (Act 857). N&MC over the years has proved itself by stepping out efforts to build bilateral relations with our clientele to higher levels through dialogue and periodic visitation to its facilities nationwide.
Allied Health Professions Council
The Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) is a professional board under the Ministry of Health which governs and regulates the professional conduct and ethics of registered allied health professionals, in accordance to the Allied Health Professions (AHP) Act 2011.
